What kind of cap should I get?
Standard Rain Cap
A standard rain cap will prevent rain and snow from going down the chimney, preventing internal water damage.
The downside is that water still pours onto the crown of the chimney. Overtime the crown will erode and need repairs.
Full Coverage Cap
A full coverage cap prevents water form entering into your chimney and from pouring on top of it.
It is the best way to prevent water damage within and on top of your chimney.
